This New York Times story (the lead paragraphs are below; the Times makes you register for on-line access to their stories, but I've found it pretty painless) about a time-travelers' convention at MIT did nothing so much as make me wish I had been smart enough to go play with the geeks at MIT (instead of bailing out of a Chemical Engineering major at Rutgers and ending up with a BA in theater).
